They responded yes. They where then asked for their zip code. Moments later, the gamer said told them he had just ordered them 100 boxes of Domino’s pizza. Shortly after, Umanzio and Anderson found themselves picking up a close to 200 boxes of pizza and 300 bottles of soda.
Umanzio and Anderson where a bit skeptical, but when they showed up to Domino’s, “they actually had the pizza.” The 16-year-old, mystery gamer also tipped the pizza guy $400.
Volunteers Umanzio, Timothy Sumida, T.J. Burke, Aubrey Myers and Brandon Hood drove to transfer the pizzas and sodas to the Towers Lobby where a crowd of hungry Vanguardians waited. Umanzio text some friends about the oncoming delivery.
“Seeing everybody’s face in the lobby when we showed up was the best part” he says.
