Tom Brady has done it again rallying the Patriots to win their 4th Super Bowl championship in the 28-24 victory over the Seahawks in Sunday’s game.
The first half was relatively uneventful with each team scoring two touchdowns, going into halftime the game was tied at 14-14. It was not until the Seahawks scored 10 points in the third quarter that really got the game going.
It eventually came down to the final two minutes of the game that all hung on one call made by Pete Carroll, the Seahawks coach.
The Seahawks were at the Patriots end zone with the winning touch down only yards away. Carroll then decided to approve a slant pass throw from Quarterback Russell Wilson to Ricardo Lockette. That pass was ultimately intercepted by the Patriots free agent rookie Malcolm Butler.
Under assumed reasoning, the upset Seahawks lashed out from the bad play call, starting an end zone brawl that led to the ejection of one Seahawks player and numerous personal fouls.
Tom Brady went on to receive the MVP award for the game, passing Joe Mantana’s mark of 11 touchdown passes by just a short 4-yard pass to Danny Amendola. Brady totaled four touchdown passes in the game.
In a post game interview Tom Brady had this to say: ”Every team has a journey and a lot of people lost faith in us … but we held strong, we held together, and it’s a great feeling.”
Katy Perry also rocked the halftime show with a stunning performance that involved eye-catching visual effects, lights and illusions.
The stage was a spectacle in itself.
The beach theme set up for California Gurl showcased people in sharks, palm tree and surfboard costumes. There were also guest appearances by Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. Katy perry ended the show by performing her hit “Fireworks”, with an incredible fireworks display.
