First off, I want to thank the weekly “Through These Doors” email that constantly flood my email like opening day of “50 Shades Of Grey.” Where is the unsubscribe button, anyone?
Back to the important thing. I am all for the “new school” that we are getting, conveniently after I graduate. It’s like when your grandmother with Alzheimer’s gets you a gift card for Christmas, to an ALL. GIRL. STORE. Two years in a row. Yay. I don’t have the heart to tell her, and it’s been the silent joke of Christmas for two years now! Maybe she knows, and just wants to make everyone laugh. Hmm.
Anyway, so the construction is just great. I love worrying about giant pieces of metal falling on my head, or the fact that the air conditioning unit was out for weeks. This isn’t 18 degree weather in New York okay. Priorities. I swear, I feel like I’m waking through an apocalypse when I maneuver to the comm lab. At least the workers are nice, as I run screaming for my life because I thought I saw a spider. I swear, it was the size of a small dog.
But hey, one day it will all be over. Just right after I graduate. At least I will be able to drive by the place and pretend I got to use all the fancy new amenities. I heard they are putting in a secret helicopter pad for Dr. Carmody. Ask him about it!
Can I just have one day where my hair isn’t full of dust and sheet rock from the decaying remanent of my past?
I wish you all the best of luck next semester with your brand new school. I hope you all trip and fall.
Xoxo
