On Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, students gathered in NMC at 8 p.m. to witness the talents of their peers. Hosts junior Clinton Munoz and sophomore Helene Villareal introduced students whose talents included singing, dancing, and a “nunchuck” routine.
Among the other acts were sophomore Patrick Malaret’s dance routine, and the six-member singing group, VU Soul, took first place. Junior Corrie Tizon performed her song, “Angel’s Wings,” with piano and vocals and received second place along with junior Sam Hines. Hines performed Bach’s Prelude on the guitar and received a standing ovation.
