If there is one thing that Orange County has blessed us, it’s an abundance of coffee shops. Coffee shops offer a unique experience the minute you walk through the door. Through those doors you are given an overwhelming welcome. You are greeted by the sounds of coffee machines, people having conversation, and the beloved smell of a deep, smooth roast being brewed.
These past three years of living in Orange County I have done one thing: visit many, many coffee shops. Some experiences have led to me to go back on a weekly basis. Those places have become a second home. Though I am no coffee expert, from one coffee shop lover to another, here is a list of coffee shops that I frequent and urge you to visit while living in Orange County.
-
The Common Room: 882 Production Place, Newport Beach
This up and coming coffee shop was started by an Australian barista who loves what he does. The Common Room roasts their carefully selected coffee in shop and focuses on a flawless execution. The shop is covered with small plants, edgy decor, and a personal DJ.
-
Neat Coffee: 270 Baker St E, Ste 200, Costa Mesa
Small, friendly, and clean. Neat offers high quality coffee, home made syrups, tasty pastries (their pop-tarts are delicious), and a variety of unique coffee drinks. My favorite specialty drink is their coconut latte. It is to die for!
-
Coffee Nature: 355 Bristol St, Ste U, Costa Mesa
With an array of coffee selections and plenty of seating, Coffee Nature is a great place for conversation or a place to study. A majority of their barista’s are Vanguard students and Coffee Nature really has become a Vanguard hangout spot.
-
Coffeebar Byul: 2750 Alton Pkwy, Unit 141, Irvine
The interior of Coffeebar Byul is what had me the minute I walked into the coffee shop. It’s basically an Instagramers dream. The ceiling is paneled with reclaimed vintage wood and the fixtures are contemporary and sleek. This coffee shop specializes in coffee and loose leaf tea and is located in a Asian shopping center. Its an experience that will have you coming back for more!
Finding new coffee shops can bring excitement and happiness. I hope that this has inspired you to visit one of the coffee shops listed if you haven’t already. Happy exploring!
