Two of modern boxing’s greatest fighters are preparing to go head to head in the ring on May 2nd. Manny Pacquiao, an eight-division world champion with a 57-5-2 record, will face Floyd Mayweather Jr., a five-division world champion who boasts an undefeated record of 47-0. Both fighters made their way to the top of of the boxing world by dominating the competition, but have never faced each other before now.
After years of rumors and negotiations, the two fighters have finally signed the contract to fight. This is the matchup the boxing world has been waiting to see and is projected to be the richest fight in history. Pacquiao may just be Mayweathers toughest opponent to date. Mayweather is loved and hated. His flashy lifestyle is followed by millions, but his dedication to being the best boxer ever is impossible to not respect. Everyone has their opinion on the lifestyle Floyd chooses to live, but the man is an undeniable talent. His defense in the ring is top class, which makes it hard for his opponents to land shots.
