The view from the top. Sounds pretty nice, huh? Depending on which way the hourglass lands, I guess, what are we all doing here? We all have a dream, maybe a goal, but why are we here exactly? In Orange County? Wait, did I just see Mischa Barton?
Anyway, just let that sink in for a minute. A view from the top, and no, not a metaphor for my height, but referring to the top of a hurdle or obstacle. College is like a view from the top. We are all trying to survive, just focusing on getting to the top. But what awaits us up there?
Sure, our parents and grandparents holding flowers and large checks, but what is actually waiting for us outside of that ceremony? Well that is for you to find out. Putting together your dignity for one last photo opp, just to get in your car and be stuck in 2 hours of graduation traffic on the 405 is all part of this game of life, spinning that dial, just to see where it will take you next.
With a handful of months left in this thing we call college, I want to thank those who help me get through each day. Sure we have relationships, pressure from parents, anxiety over our futures, and the unexpected “flat tires” of our day. But at least we are all in this together. To the seniors of 2015, we got this!
