Seniors, We Made It

Well, congratulations Vanguard Seniors: we made it! Now is the time I want to thank all the people I had to step on to get to where I am today. My message to all of the underclass men at Vanguard, we were all there at one point or another, “May the odds be ever in your favor.”

I hope everyone enjoyed their summers off! I say that with sarcasm as most us worked 6 jobs, took 14 summer school units and started growing gray hairs. It’s nice to see all your tan faces again! I think it’s time for fall, however. This has been a difficult week, as most of you have heard, we lost our beloved Joan Rivers last week. To many, she was just a talk show host with amazing hair, but to others, she was a goddess. She could make anyone laugh; sometimes just even looking at her. May her Jif’s live on forever.

As Joan rivers would say, “I don’t exercise. If God had wanted me to bend over, he would have put diamonds on the floor.”

RIP Joan. Every time I see Tupperware, I’ll think of you. Forever in our hearts…
