The Muckenthaler Cultural Center welcomes the “50 Faces” exhibit from Thursday July 15th to Oct. 7th. The mosaic exhibit features personality icons from art, culture, and music.
The exhibit is visiting from Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Italy. The opening reception on July 15th is free to the public, but regular attendance requires a reservation and a $10 fee for non-members, members only pay $5. Reservations can be made on the Muckenthaler website.
“These stunning mosaics are a modern take on an ancient art form, one that has deep roots in the northeast region of Italy and which are admired globally,” said Muck Curator, Kelly Chidester, “From the town of Spilimbergo to the City of Fullerton, we are excited to host 50 Faces and provide an opportunity for our community to see these artworks up-close and in person.”
The cultural icons featured includes Frida Kahlo, Jean Michele Basquiat, Walt Disney, Jimi Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Leonardo Di Caprio, and more.
