New Spanish Chapel 

La Capilla, which translates to ‘The Chapel’ in English, is the new weekly chapel credit. Every Thursday it is held in Needham chapel at 2 pm. The service includes preaching and Spanish worship.  

Coronavirus Could Have Lingered Two Miles Away 

The Fairview Development Center, a former assisted living facility, is just 2 miles away from Vanguard, and this is where the federal government considered placing Coronavirus positive patients. However, the Costa Mesa government filed a temporary restraining order due to concerns about safety for residents. The Federal government eventually filed documentation on February 28 stating they decided not to use the Fairview Development Center to quarantine Coronavirus positive patients.  

Veterans’ Center Relocation 

The Vanguard University Veterans’ Center is located on the second floor of the Scott Academic building, and in it are resources donated for the veteran population at Vanguard. Originally, the center was going to be relocated after spring break, but now the center will remain in the Scott building until the end of the semester. This center includes 24-hour access to resources such as textbooks, free printing, computers, a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, and a quiet area for the veterans to use. However, when the center is relocated to The Pier, which are offices located under freshman dorms, the resources currently available to veterans will shrink to fit the center into a smaller area.
