On Tuesday March 3rd, Vanguard hosted an evening with All Sons and Daughters at The Crossing Church in Costa Mesa. Guest artist Sandra McCracken also made an appearance and started off the show performing four of her new and original songs. The night began by singing a few well-known worship songs with both artists before Sandra took the stage to herself.
Sandra McCracken is a Folk Christian artist from Nashville that is known for singing hymns and turning Psalms into songs. Her new album Psalms has not been released yet, but was for sale at the show and has no official release date.
What made this show different from when All Sons and Daughters visited Vanguard last year, is that they brought their pastor along for the tour from their home church back in Nashville. After Sandra performed, their pastor Jaime George gave a short testimony of how he came to know Leslie Jordan and David Leonard before welcoming them to the stage.
Their organic sounds of Nashville Folk music carried throughout The Crossing Church in an impactful way. The packed house swayed, stomped and clapped along to their hit songs “Great Are You Lord,” “Oh How I Need You,” “Rising Sun,” and more.
Promoting the Convoy of Hope organization, Leslie told a story of how wonderful the Feed One program is and had tables set up around the room giving people the opportunity to support it.
All Sons and Daughters followed their performance with a sit-down Q&A with their pastor that let the audience get to know them a little bit better. Talking about being on the road, family and their passion and love for music, the artists captivated the audience that stayed to chat.
