A college degree to some is just a framed piece of paper, limp and lifeless. It’s the lessons you acquire while getting your degree that really matter. Countless nights of no sleep, tears and reruns of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but is it worth it? Is the stress, the money or the physical pain worth it?
Absolutely.
You see, the people that hire you for your degree know exactly what you’ve been through. They too have experienced hell in the form of classes, teachers, and painful papers. College teaches us deadlines, pressure to do a good job, the ability to respect your professors, and being on-time for everything. As much as we all wish this time of our lives flies by, we also have to remember that this is the time of our lives.
Any elder you speak with would give anything to be in our shoes; to not have “that much” to worry about, other than rent and papers bi-weekly. Make the best out of this experience and take as much as you can away from this. These are the days of our lives. Live it up, laugh lots, and always do your extra credit. God knows we all could use it.
