While many people enjoy eating Chick-fil-a, 100 people per grand opening can enjoy eating a year’s worth of free Chick-fil-a.
For those who attend Chick-fil-a grand openings and stay from 6 a.m. Wednesday mornings until 6 a.m. Thursday mornings, the first 100 guests have a chance to win 52 free meal coupons.
Local Taylor Gutel has been attending Chick-fil-a openings for two years.
“I decided to go because a whole group of my friends were going and they invited me,” he said. “[The openings] usually involve planning ahead, contacting all my friends, and telling them where it is and when.”
Local Doug Postma enjoys attending Chick-fil-a openings and he anticipates the next event.
“I’ve been to four [openings] and this one is going to be the best,” Postma said. “This Chick-fil-a will let guests fill up their own drinks and it will be centered on the guests. I’ve been waiting for this one for over a year.”
The Chick-fil-a opening to which Postma refers will be located on Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa.
“Chick-fil-A will be operated by franchisee Tammy Guadagno, who will be selling her Santa Ana Chick-fil-A location back to the company in order to open this one,” according to the Daily Pilot.
Both Postma and Gutel are looking forward to the new Chick-fil-a.
.
“We’re going to take with us the same business philosophy of treating people with honor, dignity and respect,” said Guadagno, who had operated the South Bristol Street location at MacArthur Boulevard for six years, the Daily Pilot reported.
Gutel offers advice to those who desire to attend openings.
Many people who attend openings come in groups and bring tents and games for entertainment.
“Don’t come if you plan on staying clean and healthy because you sit all day eating Chick-fil-a and playing board games,” Gutel said. “[This opening will] probably the biggest but that means more fun. The more friends I bring along, the more fun we will all have.”
