Following four unbelievably blessed years at Vanguard University, Senior Hannah Navarro shares a bit of her experience with us before she graduates. Navarro has attended Vanguard University for four years and in her words, “wouldn’t trade it for the world”. When asking Navarro why she decided to attend Vanguard University, she pleasantly states, “ I attended Vanguard because they gave me a really good scholarship. Now that I look back at it, I see that it was God’s provision over my life that everything lined up and pointed to Vanguard.”
Navarro was one of the millions of students across the world that had to adjust to online learning due to the unforeseen pandemic back in March of 2020 while attending Vanguard. Navarro shares, “The pandemic hit halfway through my sophomore year… I personally didn’t mind it because it was a bit of a breather that allowed for school to revolve around my life rather than life revolving around school.”
When asking her how Vanguard University has treated her overall, Navarro states, “Vanguard definitely held up their side of the bargain. While the classes are small, teachers are definitely genuine in their intentionality and that’s something I loved.”
Undoubtedly, following four years at Vanguard, Navarro was bound to grow and change, therefore, I ask her to share some of the ways she has grown in college. Navarro delightfully states, “I’m definitely not the same girl from four years ago…. Through these last four years, a lot has happened in my personal life and I know that if it weren’t for my faith and the way Vanguard has contributed to it, things would’ve gone much differently and I wouldn’t be the person I am now.”
Navarro continues by saying, “Vanguard has for sure shaped me into the adult I now am, in many ways to be honest.” She knows that Vanguard University has definitely played a large role in shaping her mentally, academically, and most importantly spiritually.
Finally, when asking her to share top highlights from the last four years here at Vanguard, Navarro shared, “I’d have to say that my top highlight while being here at Vanguard has been meeting my best friend!! I was able to make some core memories with her that I’ll always be grateful for. I not only came out with a degree but with a lifelong sister!”
Navarro’s story is the perfect example of how Vanguard University and its students can impact and bless the lives of their amazing soon-to-be alumni.
