Vanguard Women’s Volleyball remains undefeated at home and in GSAC (Golden State Athletic Conference) this past Friday and Saturday with two clean sweeps winning both games in the first 3 sets. Vanguard defeated Menlo College at home with a 3-0, the scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-10 in each set, Friday, Oct. 2.
Jessica Chase (Junior/Riverside, Calif.) who scored a match high 11 kills at .471 hitting percentage, shares, “Our team played well tonight, and it was great to see everyone play. The fans were amazing, and the ceremony honoring the baseball team was special. I’m really excited for October to start because I get to wear all of my pink gear for breast cancer awareness month.”
Stephanie Flores (Senior/Yucaipa, Calif.) claims “This was a great team win in all aspects. We set the tone early in all three sets and played our game.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, the women finished the weekend with another 3-0 win against William Jessup University 25-19, 25-12, 25-13 were the scores for each set.
The next game for the lion’s volleyball is another GSAC game which will be Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7:00 pm against Biola University. The Vanguard Women’s Volleyball team plan on continuing their winning streak as the season continues.
