This past Wednesday night, November 13th Vanguard University students were invited to attend a Night of Spoken Word event from 8:00pm to 9:00pm held at Newport Mesa Church with performances by Janette…IKZ and Ezekiel of P4CM (Passion 4 Christ Movement).
Chapel credit was offered at the event held by Vanguard’s Diversity Programming. This was the second time both Janette…IKZ and Ezekiel were invited to perform at Vanguard.
The night was kicked off when Ezekiel took center stage but before he began to perform, Janette…IKZ and Ezekiel, with a birthday cake in hand, called Vanguard student Jonathan Hendricks up to the stage and everyone wished him a happy birthday.
Ezekiel went on to vocally impersonate both God and Satan in his piece. Janette…IKZ was then invited to take the stage where she poked fun at how serious and deep Ezekiel’s piece was. Janette…IKZ did a piece surrounding the topic of worship.
Reuniting Janette…IKZ as she played the guitar, Ezekiel performed a lyrical piece. Janette…IKZ shared that Ezekiel had asked her to share a lyrical remake of the song titled, Crazy made famous by Gnarls Barkley, of course with a Christian spin on it.
The Vanguard community was very involved in the performance itself snapping here and there to the strong points of Janette…IKZ’s pieces. In fact Ezekiel and Janette…IKZ moved the audience to take an interactive role in their performance. Vanguard students sang along with the duo.
This is not the first time the pair have performed at Vanguard and most definitely not be the last.

Second time this year or second time all around? I am pretty sure this was third time overall.
